“Schoolhouse Rock Live!” Celebrates 20 Years

It would seem that twenty is also a magic number.

This August 24-25, join me and the rest of the original cast in Chicago as we celebrate the 20th Anniversary of Schoolhouse Rock Live!  Yep, twenty years ago (when I was 5), I played “Mr. Mizer” (a big stretch) in the original award-winning production inspired by everyone’s favorite educational cartoons. I continued on with the show through multiple incarnations including its Off-Broadway run. And I can still sing the Preamble to the Constitution…

To mark the occassion, they are flying the whole gang back to where it all began for a weekend of big events. There will be a performance from the current touring cast (tickets now available), as well as a party reuniting two decades of casts & crews and some very special performances — including a song or two by the legendary Bob Dorough (“Three is a Magic Number”). They might even force me to come out of singing retirement. Eek! (By the way, that’s an interjection.)
